We have an exciting opportunity for you to work within the Learning Disabilities Team in Havering as a Locum Social Worker. This is a superb role offering £32 per hour on an ongoing basis. What you will do:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and develop personalised care plans.
2. Collaborate with health and social care professionals to deliver coordinated services and achieve the best outcomes for service users.
3. Address safeguarding issues and ensure the protection and support of vulnerable adults.
4. Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Assessments as needed.
5. Provide leadership and guidance to non-qualified staff, students, or apprentices within the team, sharing your expertise and enhancing team performance.
6. Make effective use of available resources to meet the needs of clients, applying innovative solutions when necessary.
7. Display flexibility by being available to work outside of standard office hours on occasion.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Hold a recognized social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
2. Have a minimum of three years' experience in social work, preferably within a community setting.
3. Demonstrated ability to complete assessments and develop robust support plans.
4. Competent in IT systems and electronic record-keeping.
5. Committed to ongoing professional development and social justice.
