Cranleigh STEM, Sustainability & SHEQ Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality function and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative research and development in a growing start-up. With state-of-the-art facilities and a robust pipeline of upcoming projects, you will have the chance to develop comprehensive quality frameworks, ensure adherence to SOPs and best practices across the site, and define strategies for the long-term growth of QA and QC functions.
The position includes management responsibilities and requires strong leadership skills to mentor and lead the quality team. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing quality management systems aligned with industry standards
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
* Preparing and presenting reports
* Providing strategic leadership for quality processes
* Setting team goals and KPIs,
* Conducting internal audits and managing external audits from regulatory bodies or customers.
Responsibilities Overview
We are looking for someone with experience in leading customer or regulatory audits, proven track record in managing and implementing quality management systems, and familiarity with food quality standards like HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001.
Requirements
* BSc/MSc/PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field
* Previous experience in a QA/QC leadership role
* Familiarity with cultivated meat and food safety regulations
