Team Educate has been asked to recruit a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work directly with a school in South Bristol. This role would be working within an alternative provision supporting secondary students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health. The role of a SEMH Teaching Assistant is to work alongside an experienced network of teachers, keeping the students engaged and focused during the school day. There will be an element of both 1:1 working and also group work, allowing you to build core relations and rapport with these young learners.
No prior experience is necessary – we value the right attitude and a passion for helping others. Experience or qualifications in SEND are advantageous, but not essential. We are looking for someone who is patient, empathetic, and motivated to make a tangible impact on a child’s educational journey.
