Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: RAF Croughton, Brackley, NN13 5NQ
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:30AM-4:30PM)
Here at VIVO are currently recruiting for a Fabric Operative to join our trades team of 13, that will be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of buildings and external works on our sites RAF Croughton and RAF Barford St Johns.
We are looking for someone who enjoys variety in their workload and who wants to lend a hand to a variety of trades and skills. Your day-to-day tasks can include anything from door, ceiling and floor repairs, minor plumbing checks and repairs on sinks and taps, painting and decorating and general maintenance checks on all fabric items.
Starting your day by signing into the nearest site to your first task, you will be assigned tasks which you will then self-schedule, ensuring they are completed to a high quality within the set time scales. You will also be liaising with other trades people in the team as necessary.
Throughout your work tasks you will be interacting with building custodians so it is ideal that you have worked in a customer facing role before.

What you’ll need for this role
It is essential you have previous experience in a fabric and maintenance role, along with a in depth knowledge of fabric repairs. You will need to have previously worked in a customer facing role and have strong communication skills. It is necessary that you have a solid understanding of health and safety legislation. As you will be scheduling your own works it is important you are self-motivated and can work independently.
This role comes with a company vehicle and requires travel to two different sits, therefore it is essential that you are comfortable with travelling and hold a full and valid UK driving licence.
It is desirable that you are PASMA or IPAF qualified and have a qualification in health and safety. It is also desirable that you have experience of operating within an MOD environment and have familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility.
You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
