About the Role:
As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the hotel's commercial strategy. Overseeing a dynamic team of ten across sales, marketing, and reservations, you will be responsible for increasing revenue, enhancing brand positioning, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Reporting to the MD as part of the ELT, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop innovative strategies that drive occupancy, event bookings, and overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team across sales, marketing, and reservations, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to maximise revenue and market share.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel partners, and corporate accounts.
* Oversee brand positioning, digital marketing, PR campaigns, and strategic partnerships.
* Analyse market trends, competitor performance, and business insights to inform decision-making.
* Drive group and event sales, including weddings, conferences, and exclusive functions.
* Work closely with operations and revenue management teams to optimise pricing and distribution strategies.
* Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

* Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership within the luxury hotel sector.
* A proven track record of working for independent owners.
* A track record of driving revenue growth and achieving commercial targets.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
* Deep understanding of luxury travel markets, digital marketing, and customer acquisition strategies.
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
* Experience with CRM systems, analytics, and reporting tools.
