What you'll do As an Actuary in Pensions, you'll use financial and statistical theories to assess risks and predict outcomes. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you'll advise Companies and Trustees on managing pension liabilities and assets, funding schemes, designing retirement plans, and advising on mergers or acquisitions. Using our leading pensions analytics tools and expertise, you'll help clients develop and implement their pension strategy or benefits scheme. What you'll need You must be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or in your final year with a confirmed one-year postgraduate place. You must have or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree in any subject, based on your most recent academic grades. While no specific degree or A Level subjects are required, the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) recommends a maths-based degree for aspiring actuaries due to the rigorous qualification process.
