Reporting to the Head of Supply & Planning, you will take the helm of the Delivery Planning team, ensuring that scheduling outputs are safe, timely, and cost-effective. This pivotal role requires close collaboration with area teams and various business units to consistently meet customer supply expectations. We're seeking someone with a strategic mindset to optimise delivery planning processes, boost operational efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of safety and service quality. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing team to maximise scheduling efficiencies and deliver outstanding customer service. Training and Development: Ensure the team is fully trained to optimise scheduling, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and developing talent to support retention. Performance Management: Identify, manage, and monitor detailed performance measures and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and efficiency reviews. Safety and Compliance: Champion a safe working environment, ensuring full compliance with all relevant SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) requirements. Collaboration: Build strong, collaborative relationships with Product Managers, Sales, Product Supply, Site Operations, and the Remote Operating Centre to align scheduling outputs with business needs. Business Continuity: Implement and oversee manual scheduling and disaster recovery plans to maintain operations during system failures. Resource Management: Optimise resource utilisation, accounting for holidays, absences, training, and project needs, ensuring expertise is available across all shifts. Problem-Solving: Investigate the root causes of service failures, working with stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions that prevent recurrence. Technical Systems: Ensure all technical systems are supported, maintained, and developed to meet business needs and align with Centre of Excellence/Competence standards. Communication: Establish effective communication processes and systems within the department and across the wider business. Performance Reviews: Conduct quarterly reviews, annual appraisals, and address disciplinary matters in line with agreements, employment policies, and procedures to support individual development and performance. What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics or a similar role, with a strong focus on optimisation and efficiency. Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams, driving performance, and delivering measurable results.Solid project management experience, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. A track record of working with cross-functional teams and fostering collaborative relationships.Familiarity with digital and automation technologies and their application in supply chain processes. Knowledge of business continuity planning and strategies to ensure operational resilience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, concise messages. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python. Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative approach to overcoming challenges.
