B ouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O’Rourke, two of Europe’s most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £2.8 billion.

Purpose of the role :
Project Manager responsible for managing for selected buildings on the construction platforms.
Will manage a team of Project Engineers, Section Engineers and Site Engineers.
Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities :
* Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues,
* Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met,
* Collaborate with other project departments, plan and coordinate services for deliveries of prefabricated cages, embedded items, plant and equipment,
* Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations,
* Liaise with support teams to request and organize deliveries of equipment and materials,
* Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports as per Project requirements,
* Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
Technical Knowledge :
* Specialist in construction of complex structural works,
* Cost Control experience.
Key Skills & Competencies :
* Proven experience as Construction Project Manager,
* In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials and project management principles,
* Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
* Good knowledge of MS Office,
* Familiarity with construction / project management software, Digital engineering and 3D model software will be a plus,
* Outstanding communication and negotiation skills,
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills,
* A team player with leadership abilities.
Additional Information:
All positions with Bylor are employed directly with either Laing O’Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes and annual holiday allowance. Some grades will also include a company car allowance.
Unless stated otherwise all positions are based at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.
