Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic L&D Manager to join our client’s People and Culture team. In this vital role, you will lead and manage the training team, overseeing the design, delivery, and governance of all training initiatives. With a strong emphasis on coaching, skill development, and performance management, the L&D Manager will play a key part in shaping the training landscape to ensure all programs align with the business goals and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the scheduling and delivery of induction training across departments, while also developing and delivering upskilling programs for Trainers and Team Leaders.
2. Oversee the governance process of all training activities, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance.
3. Conduct regular training observations, spot checks, and coaching sessions to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
4. Assist in the creation of engaging training materials that inspire and educate learners effectively.
5. Manage the L&D budget, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and goals.
6. Work closely with senior leadership to ensure training strategies are aligned with business needs and objectives.
7. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Trainers and Team Leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Key Requirements:
1. Degree-qualified (or equivalent professional qualification, such as CIPD).
2. Proven experience leading and managing a high-performing L&D team.
3. Extensive experience in identifying training needs and designing impactful learning interventions.
4. Strong knowledge of the full training cycle, from needs analysis and content development to delivery and evaluation.
5. Experience in operational training and managing training resources effectively.
6. Excellent coaching, mentoring, and team development skills.
7. Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders to implement strategic L&D initiatives.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead teams.
