Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm)
Staff Power Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client for a Maintenance Supervisor near Driffield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee and manage the mechanical maintenance of all operational activities and equipment on-site.
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and reliability of plant machinery by leading and organising both planned and preventative maintenance activities. You will also supervise and support the daily inspection processes to identify, report, and rectify faults, ultimately reducing breakdowns and improving overall plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, schedule, and carry out a wide range of engineering and maintenance duties across the entire site, ensuring all work is completed within budget.
2. Use predictive maintenance techniques and a strong understanding of plant machinery to maximize uptime.
3. Utilize the CMMS system to track and record maintenance and breakdown activities.
4. Proactively maintain, develop, and implement site improvement processes or projects to enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.
5. Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, Environmental, and industry standards.
6. Perform risk assessments and develop Safe Systems of Work for all maintenance tasks.
7. Manage the recording and stock of spare parts and tools.
8. Minimize business losses and ensure the site operates at peak performance.
Required Experience:
1. Time-served apprentice in a mechanical discipline.
2. BTEC National/NVQ or equivalent qualification.
3. IOSH Managing Safely certification.
4. Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis is advantageous.
5. Proven experience in maintaining heavy plant machinery.
6. Competency in machining, welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
7. Strong IT skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite.
8. Experience in using CMMS systems.
9. Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
