We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EIA Consultant to join our dynamic environmental consultancy team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will support the planning and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments across a range of sectors, including renewable energy, infrastructure, and urban development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and coordinate EIA projects, ensuring compliance with UK environmental regulations.
2. Conduct environmental assessments, impact evaluations, and risk analysis.
3. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and multidisciplinary teams.
4. Prepare high-quality Environmental Statements (ES) and technical reports.
5. Provide expert guidance on environmental legislation and policy.
6. Support business development activities, including bid writing and client proposals.
7. Conduct site visits and environmental monitoring when necessary.
Requirements
1. A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Planning, or a related discipline.
2. Experience in EIA coordination and project management, ideally in the UK.
3. Strong understanding of UK EIA regulations, environmental legislation, and planning policies.
4. Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
6. Proficiency in GIS and environmental data analysis tools (desirable).
7. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IEMA, RTPI) is an advantage.
