We are inviting applications for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow (Registrar grade) in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at St George's Hospital, London.
We welcome senior Plastic Surgery trainees who have had at least 3 years' experience at Registrar level in Plastic Surgery Departments in the NHS to apply for the post.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be assigned a named consultant supervisor and will be given opportunities depending on their experience level. The post-holder will take some responsibility for the everyday care of the team's inpatients and contribute to theatre lists and outpatient clinics. The successful applicant will be allocated an AES and be expected to engage with ISCP.
The post holder will join the plastic surgery non-resident on-call and leave rota which is compliant with the Working Time Regulations.

The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery department collaborates with other services, routinely operating together with General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, ENT, Gynaecology and Urology.
The appointees will join our team which includes 15 Consultant Plastic Surgeons, and 1 locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon, 17 junior doctors and 3 Associate Specialists, covering a comprehensive range of subspecialty expertise and interests, including all aspects of upper limb surgery, breast reconstruction, paediatric plastic surgery, skin oncology and melanoma, lower limb reconstruction and head & neck reconstruction. We operate a hub and spoke model providing outreach services in Southwest London. The post holder will be required to participate in a non-resident Plastic Surgery on-call rota which is European Working Time Directive compliant.

The post is ideal for those looking for increasing experience and logbook numbers in a subspecialty interest within Plastic Surgery. We will support your training including through providing regular formal and informal teaching sessions, Workplace Based Assessments, welcoming your contribution to ongoing audit and research projects, and supporting setting up new projects of your own.
