In this role you will deliver the academy goalkeeping coaching syllabus and lead coaching in training and games across the Academy Program. You can also look forward to planning, creating, and evaluating coaching sessions, ensuring goalkeepers have active ILGs Key Accountabilities: Develop goalkeepers across Youth and Professional Development age groups Implement a high-quality goalkeeping coaching program Assist with departmental KPIs and ensure compliance with Club policies, including Safeguarding and Health & Safety Actively participate in professional development and the appraisal process Scope of Duties and Responsibilities: Lead coaching in training and games for youth and professional development goalkeepers Manage fixture schedules, player reviews, and update the Performance Clock for each player Collaborate with multi-disciplinary staff to enhance player development Monitor and evaluate goalkeepers, including sourcing video clips and providing feedback for trialists Ensure compliance with PL/EFL Youth Development rules Manage resources and ensure players use the Football Intelligence Platform effectively What We’re Looking For in You: Essential : Goalkeeping UEFA B License, UEFA B License, FA Youth Award, EFAiF, FA Safeguarding certification Desirable : Goalkeeping UEFA A License, coaching-related degree, QTS, FA Advanced Youth Award Skills & Abilities : Deliver high-quality coaching sessions and build strong relationships Design and implement a high-quality coaching program Experience developing professional football players and working within academy football Desirable Skills : Extensive experience developing professional players, working in senior football, and in data analysis platforms Personal Requirements: Hardworking, honest, player-centric, and committed to the development of young people and the academy Terms of Appointment: 37.5 hours per week, flexible hours to meet business needs Benefits include pension scheme and life assurance, holiday entitlement, and probation period Special Conditions: DBS check required and employment subject to medical clearance Birmingham City Football Club is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity.
