My client is a large shared service organisation based in West Yorkshire, seeking an Interim Payroll Manager to join their team for a minimum of 3 months.
The role requires you to be in the office at least once a week, and is paying up to £25 per hour.
Main duties of the role include:
1. Oversight of the payroll and pensions department
2. Support the team whilst they recruit on a permanent basis
3. Answer complex queries within the payroll team
4. Engage in project work where necessary
My client is therefore looking for a payroll professional with:
1. Local government experience or at least shared services experience
2. ITRENT/Oracle experience
3. Strong, up to date legislation and technical knowledge
4. Experience handling high volumes
5. Ability to get stuck in and hit the ground running, providing support to the team in a time of uncertainty
6. Project experience would also be a bonus
