We are seeking a full-time Senior Research Associate in Automatic Tuning of Quantum Dot Devices to join Natalia Ares's research group at the Department of Engineering Science (central Oxford). The post is funded by US Army: Department of Defense Awarding Office, and is a fixed-term 2-year contract.
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, you will help ensure a healthy and vibrant research environment within Natalia Ares's Research Group. This will involve leading, devising, coordinating, and supervising research projects in this area, including work involved in collaborations with project partners, guidance to researchers and students, and winning further funding to underpin the research.
You should possess a Ph.D./D.Phil with post-qualification experience. You should have the ability to develop new research projects and raise research funds through grant applications. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings, are essential.
