What is the opportunity?
We have an excellent opportunity for a Portfolio Management Assistant to join our Aberdeen or Dundee office on a permanent basis.
The team takes responsibility for looking after the composition and construction of all client portfolios, including stock selection and asset allocation. The right candidate will be professional and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and develop.
What will you do?
* Develop knowledge of Investment Management, the wider business offering and the Financial Services sector.
* Support the Portfolio Manager(s) and Investment Manager(s) in production of portfolio proposals, reviews, and associated client administration.
* Execute trades on instruction from CP Portfolio Manager or Investment Manager, where appropriate.
* Collate and verify the accuracy of information and work provided.
* Assist in preparation of review a new client meeting.
* Support business development through correct application of client processes and procedures.
* Assist team members as required and works effectively with colleagues.
* Understand and comply with all FCA regulations and principles applying to the role.
* Adheres to Conduct Risk standards and all other Brewin Dolphin Policies and Procedures.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
* An understanding of portfolio management.
* Maths GCSE or equivalent.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong numerical skills.
* Clear and concise communication skills – oral and written.
Nice-to-have
* A level or degree educated.
