Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled, versatile and highly organised volunteer Executive Assistant to support our CEO. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the CEO’s time is used effectively, managing schedules, drafting communications, and helping seek opportunities for growth and operational improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a real impact in a start-up environment while gaining hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
1. Schedule Management: Support the CEO to organise and maintain his calendar, including scheduling meetings and appointments.
2. Project Support: Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and other materials as needed.
3. Meeting Coordination: Organise meetings, take notes (or reference notes from meeting transcripts) and follow up on action items.
4. Task Prioritisation: Help the CEO prioritise leadership team tasks and stay on track with client deadlines.
5. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a point of contact between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
6. General Administration: Provide ad hoc administrative support as required.
7. Research: Conduct research to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiencies and driving growth at AVERio.
Key Skills and Qualities
1. Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
2. High-level fluency in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
3. Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently and with initiative.
4. Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
5. Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, SaaS tools such as Canva, Gamma and ChatGPT, and project management software.
A genuine interest in start-ups – particularly in health and social care.

Time Commitment
We are flexible and happy to discuss a schedule that works for both you and us. An anticipated commitment of 2 hrs+ per day for 3 months (60 volunteer days) is expected but this can be fluid over the duration we are working together.
