Job Title: Accounts Assistant (Temporary) Location: Milton Keynes Salary: £12-£14 per hour (depending on experience) Job Type: Temporary (2-3 months, with potential for extension) Start Date: ASAP Job Description: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payment runs, and performing general accounts assistant duties. This role requires proficiency in Sage, with a preference for experience in Sage 200. Key Responsibilities: Process and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments. Conduct payment runs and manage related documentation. Assist with reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies. Maintain accurate financial records and update internal systems. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with the preparation of financial reports. Perform general administrative duties related to the finance department. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements: Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role. Proficiency in Sage software; Sage 200 experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to start immediately and commit to the duration of the contract.
