An exciting development opportunity has arisen for an Adult Continence Advisor to join our vibrant and hard-working team at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic healthcare professional, with substantial experience in Continence Promotion. The successful candidate is expected to be highly motivated, dedicated with a passion for excellence in patient care, along with excellent communication organisational skills. An Enhanced DBS with barred lists for both Adults & Children is required for this. The post holder will play a key role in delivering a high quality of nursing through assessing, planning and evaluating care for all clients. To give expert, autonomous advice and implement care in an area that requires highly specialist knowledge and skills. To work alongside a range of clinical colleagues to maximise patient care and experience. To assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of evidence-based nursing care to the patients of St Helens. To promote continence and provide specialist assessment and diagnostic intervention enabling treatment and management packages of care for patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction. To provide specialist advice and training on the promotion of continence for individual patients, staff and carers as required.
