About the role
The school is looking for a Teacher of Music to join the successful Music department. You will be responsible for:
* Teaching: Delivering engaging and effective music lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (Years 7-11).
* Planning & Preparation: Developing lesson plans and resources that cater to a wide range of abilities and learning styles, ensuring that all students are challenged and supported.
* Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assessing students' progress, providing constructive feedback, and using data to inform planning and improve student outcomes.
* Classroom Management: Maintaining high standards of behaviour, creating a positive and productive classroom environment.
* Collaboration: Working closely with the department and wider school staff to deliver an integrated and cohesive curriculum.
* Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development opportunities to improve teaching practice and stay up-to-date with educational developments.
Am I suitable?
The successful candidate for the Teacher of Music position will have to have:
* Qualified Teacher Status
* ECT applications also welcomed
* Degree or Higher in relevant field
* At least 1 year teaching experience to Secondary age pupils
* Unqualified Teacher applications will be considered if the candidate can showcase a vast experience of teaching GCSE and/or A Level Music
