Full-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Mon–Thu), 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Fri)
Start Date: Early March (Interviews first week after half-term)

Are you an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a secondary school setting? We are seeking a full-time SEMH TA to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is ideal for someone with SEND experience who is ready to make a real impact on students' learning and well-being.
About the Role:
1. Supporting students with SEMH needs and other SEND requirements.
2. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide tailored support.
3. Managing some challenging behaviours while creating a positive and inclusive environment.
4. Assisting students academically and emotionally to help them reach their potential.
Requirements:
1. Level 3/A-Level equivalent qualification in any subject.
2. GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
3. Experience working with SEND students (SEMH experience preferred but not essential).
4. Ability to build strong relationships with students and manage behaviour effectively.
