Applications are invited for this post within the Orthopaedic spinal service at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated advanced physiotherapist to add to our existing team. The post holder would be expected to have the required knowledge and skills to assess and treat patients across the full range of Orthopaedic Sub-specialisms. However, a keen interest and some previous experience of assessing and treating patients with spinal pathology is required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage a caseload of complex MSK spinal patients from triage to discharge in line with current best practice. This will include assessment, referral for and interpretation of diagnostic tests as well as appropriate listing for spinal procedures. They must be able to work both independently in standalone spinal clinics as well as alongside our physiotherapy, nursing and consultant colleagues. They must be able to effectively triage both urgent and routine electronic referrals and present cases for MDT discussion.
They will be part of a wider team of advanced orthopaedic physiotherapists covering both the hospital and community sites.
