About the job
We have several exciting opportunities for a Graduate Stakeholder Engagement Consultant to join our Stakeholder Engagement, Consultation and Communications team with one in Edinburgh from March 25 onwards.
Responsibilities:
1. Communications: Supporting the development of communications strategies and delivery plans, developing themes, core messages and collateral for multiple audiences and stakeholders, including digital users, the media, local communities, statutory bodies, technical groups, and elected representatives, and supporting the management of communications channels.
2. Engagement and consultation: Identifying and mapping key stakeholders for client projects, establishing an engagement strategy and delivery plans, supporting consultation delivery, developing surveys, managing stakeholder feedback channels, and analysing consultation responses.
3. Client relations: Liaising with internal and external clients, ensuring a high level of customer service and ensuring accurate, timely reporting.
Qualifications:
Here’s what we’re looking for:
1. You hold a Degree or a Masters in a relevant subject (e.g. Social Science, History, Politics, Geography, Language and Literature, Law, Business), or an equivalent number of years of successful, relevant experience.
2. You have a strong interest in industry sectors relevant to our business (e.g. infrastructure, transport, energy, water, residential development, commercial development), and are confident engaging a variety of audiences and stakeholder groups.
3. You’re proactive and ambitious, work well both alone and in a team, and can bring about new ideas on engagement.
4. You have great personal communication skills, are culturally aware, and have a strong focus on inclusion and accessibility.
5. You have strong skills in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
6. You have strong report writing, research, numeracy and verbal communication skills.
7. You have proven organisational skills and attention to detail.
8. You’re willing to work flexibly and travel when required to meet with clients and project teams.
