Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Senior or Associate Planner to join our thriving Central Planning Team, based across two offices in the region, covering projects in the Thames Valley area. Reporting to an Associate Director/Director, this position offers the chance to work on high-profile projects, including:
* Strategic land promotion
* Housebuilder proposals
* Landowner promotions
* Appeals and planning appraisals
* Regeneration and rural work

Key Responsibilities
* Provide planning consultancy advice to colleagues and clients
* Report to clients and senior colleagues, maintaining regular communication
* Attend and present updates at regular project meetings
* Take responsibility for processing planning work and developing further opportunities for the department
* Handle instructions and clients independently after an introductory period
* Strive to become a single point of contact for clients
* Produce reports to support planning applications and appeals
* Assist in drafting Local Plan representations, promoting sites, and supporting Examination in Public processes
* Provide support to team members where possible
* Develop and maintain active communication within your team and with other teams
Key Skills
* A collaborative team player with leadership potential
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
* Professionally qualified (e.g., MRICS / MRTPI)
* Practical understanding of property and planning
* Relevant experience (preferably 3-6 years in public or private sector planning roles)
* Strategic approach to problem-solving
* Full driving license and access to your own vehicle for business requirements
* Strong verbal, numerical, and report-writing skills
* Excellent communication abilities
