We are looking for a dependable Social Worker to join our OFSTED rated ‘Outstanding’ organisation and become part of our dedicated team in the Midlands. Our office is based in Birmingham; however, flexibility can be given to home working on certain days. We have foster carers and looked after children based across Nottingham, Derby & Burton on Trent regions; hence a willingness to travel and use of a car is essential.
The successful applicant will hold a mixed caseload but may also undertake a project lead within the region, providing specific support to foster carers, young people, and colleagues in respect of an aspect of practice that impacts on our young people. In addition, the team delivers training and support groups to our families and puts on events and activities that all workers have a level of input and involvement with.
YOU MUST BE A FULLY QUALIFIED SOCIAL WORKER AND REGISTERED WITH SOCIAL WORK ENGLAND.
Applicants will work with foster carers and children from a variety of backgrounds and will be responsible for ensuring their compliance with the National Minimum Standards.

The job description includes the following aspects:
* Supervision of a pool of foster carers
* Form F assessments and panel presentation (dependent on caseload)
* Monitoring and complying with all safeguarding aspects
* Participation in all aspects of the organisation including recruitment, retention, and supporting training for foster carers
* Flexible working and out of hours support to carers
Ability to speak languages reflective of our carers and local community (e.g. Urdu/Punjabi) is advantageous but not essential. Our foster carer pool comes from a variety of backgrounds.

Salary of £28k - £39.5K pa, depending on skills and years of experience. The job requirement also includes the relevant social work qualification, Social Work England registration, and appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
