We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistants to join our supply team in Sunderland. About the Role As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the growth and development of children aged 0-5 years. You will support teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play and exploration. Key Responsibilities: Assisting the class teacher in delivering the Early Years curriculum. Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development. Encouraging learning through creative and sensory activities. Providing one-to-one and small group support for children, including those with additional needs. Observing and recording children’s progress to contribute to their individual development plans. Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment in line with safeguarding practices. What We’re Looking For: A relevant Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent). Experience working within an EYFS setting, including nurseries or schools. A caring and patient approach to supporting young children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
