We recognise that education and career progression is an essential requirement for doctors not in a recognised training programme. Each doctor will have a nominated clinical and educational supervisor, with whom to meet and discuss progress and access to the same e portfolio as colleagues in training to document their competencies and educational progression. They will also have access to the hospital appraisal system to ensure they meet the GMC requirements on revalidation.
