We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based across the South West and London, who are recruiting for a Group Head of Health and Safety on a permanent contract. The salary for the role is £84,000 per annum, and they are willing to be flexible on the successful candidate’s start date, based on notice periods. The ideal candidate will experience operating at a Senior level within a HSE capacity, ideally having worked in a medium – large organisation of circa 2,000 employees. This is a full-time position with, which will require office and site presence of roughly two days a week, dependent on the demands of the given week, with the rest of the week to be made up on a home working basis. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Providing and acting as the subject matter experience for Health and Safety at work for a Social Housing provider Co-operating, collaborating and liaising with other colleagues to ensure that policies are in place and recognized across the organisation Producing targets to ensure that Health and Safety becomes and integrated function within the organisation Assisting the Directorate in the developed and delivery for plans within Health and Safety Embedding a culture of Health and Safety across the organisation Providing robust management information and assurance across the business Developing, updating and implementing a Health and Safety training Matrix Establishing an effective compliance and performance framework with key risks identified Acting as the ‘Competent Person’ under the Health and Safety at Work Regs. 1999 Planning and implementing a monitoring regime to include HS Audits, risk assessments and board reports Experience required: Experience in a medium – large organization Experience developing reports for senior management / Board of directors Experience within a Social Housing capacity is desirable Skills, knowledge and expertise required: NEBOSH/ IOSH Ability to write and develop HS policies Rewards and Benefits: 2 days a week in the office/ three days from home Access to ‘Perk box’ Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
