We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to assist us with our all-inclusive medical and laboratory gas planning, design, maintenance and installation service. The successful applicant will be involved in preventative and reactive maintenance, playing a key role in service delivery and improvements.
This is a customer-focused role, where the successful applicant will service and maintain a wide variety of medical gas plant and equipment in NHS and private hospitals and laboratories in the UK.
The hours of the role are Monday to Friday and will require participation in an on-call rota.
Some of the duties and responsibilities associated with this role include:
• Perform service and PPM checks, tests and inspections in accordance with industry standards and hospital requirements.
• Identify and document items which have changed since previous inspections.
• Identify and report electrical faults.
• Identify and report changes in the condition of plant and/or plant rooms.
• Report any major issues that may/will affect medical gas supply.
• Submitting job summary and maintenance reports.
• Maintaining van stocks.
• Undertake a full range of servicing and reactive maintenance tasks.
To be considered for this role you will have an engineering background, with a minimum of 2 years as a Service Engineer, or time-served apprenticeship (preferably multiskilled). Competent Person (MGPS) status will be an advantage.
A knowledge of servicing medical gas systems, compressor maintenance and repairs, and knowledge of compressors, vacuum pumps, gas manifolds, gas outlets, alarms and pressure equipment will be desired, but not essential.
Also required:

* Working knowledge of CMMS.
* Ability to prioritise and identify solutions .
* A positive can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset.
* Self-motivated, disciplined and methodical in approach.
* Ability to build positive relationships with customers.
* A manual driving licence.
