Applications Support Analyst

About the Role:
As an Applications Support Analyst, you'll be an essential part of our Technology Applications Support Group. Working closely with colleagues from various business units, the Technology department, and our client-facing teams, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting a blend of internally developed and third-party software applications. This dynamic environment requires quick problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage complex issues from identification to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide application monitoring and support for internal technical teams, Client Support teams, external third-party support groups, and users of hosted applications.
2. Investigate and identify the source of issues, whether they are software-related, business process-related, or usage-related, and route them to the relevant teams if needed.
3. Ensure smooth application recovery during priority incidents, even with limited support.
4. Collaborate with a cross-continental, cross-culture support team, coordinating efforts between diverse groups.
5. Support core hours from 08:00 to 18:00 on-site, with additional support provided by our global team from 02:00 to 08:00, Monday to Friday.
What We're Looking For:
Technical Skills:
1. Strong SQL scripting skills.
2. Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell or VBScript.
3. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Cloudprober, Moogsoft).
4. Knowledge of multi-tier application architecture and web technologies.
5. Experience working in both Production and Non-production environments.
6. Ability to manage application recovery during critical incidents.
7. Basic understanding of Message Queuing systems (e.g., IBM WebSphere MQ, Microsoft MQ).
8. Familiarity with issue tracking systems like ServiceNow.
