TES is seeking an HR Apprentice to join our dynamic People and Culture team, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our workforce while learning valuable HR and administrative skills. What You’ll Do as a HR Apprentice: As an HR Apprentice, you will support the People and Culture team in delivering high-quality HR services across the organisation. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience while working towards achieving the Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship qualification. You will assist whilst learning across a range of HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration while developing your knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Key Responsibilities HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records using HR systems. Prepare and issue HR documents, such as contracts, offer letters, and onboarding packs. Support the team in organising employee files in compliance with GDPR. Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with job postings on relevant platforms and manage candidate applications. Schedule interviews and liaise with candidates and hiring managers. Support the onboarding process, including induction system enrolment and ensuring all new joiner processes are completed. Payroll and Benefits Administration: Provide accurate data to support payroll processing. Assist in the administration of employee benefits and respond to related queries. Employee Relations Support: Respond to routine HR queries from employees and managers. Support the HR team in coordinating meetings, such as disciplinary or grievance hearings, and taking minutes where required. HR Projects and Compliance: Assist with HR initiatives and projects, such as engagement surveys, wellbeing programmes, or policy reviews. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of HR processes and suggest ideas for enhancing efficiency. Actively participate in team meetings and share insights or learnings from the apprenticeship programme. About You What We’re Looking For: Skills: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Behaviours: Positive attitude and eagerness to learn. Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and respect for others. Commitment to providing excellent customer service. Proactive approach to problem-solving and taking initiative. Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment. Entry Requirements Minimum of GCSE grades 4-9 (or equivalent) in English and Math. Passion for pursuing a career in HR and willingness to learn.
