My 1st Years are on the lookout for an Office Happiness Manager. This exciting new role will give someone the responsibility and autonomy to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture by implementing practices that ensure all employees feel valued and respected. This person will take the time to understand the individual needs and preferences of team members, promoting diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the office environment. By creating a welcoming and warm atmosphere, the office manager encourages open communication and collaboration, where employees feel comfortable sharing their ideas and feedback. They organise team-building activities and social events in the office and celebrate everyone who comes to work, these moments are important as they build a sense of community and belonging.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
General Office Management
Act as the main office contact for general day-to-day queries for staff
Order office supplies as required
Manage the administration of the fire register
Liaise with the facilities manager as required on other office health & safety elements
Assist with scheduling meetings as requested to support the Head of People
Provide general administrative assistance as required

Advocate our values and bring them to life
Organise company social events
Promote a positive workplace culture
Meeting Room Management
Manage meeting room set-ups for both internal and external meetings including organising refreshments and tidying up
Assist with meeting room bookings as required
Recruitment & New Starter Assistance
Assist with recruitment tasks, including but not limited to CV screening, screening calls, interview set-up and sending of documentation
Handle administration for new starters, such as requesting new starter packs, pre-start candidate communications and implementation of the onboarding process
Carry out pre-employment checks
HR Support
Assist with the management of HR systems and employee setup
Assist with drafting offer letters, contracts and other HR-related documents
Assist with basic HR inquiries or redirect as necessary
Monitor Townhall responding to feedback and questions promptly
Travel Arrangements
~ Assist with travel and hotel bookings as required for both domestic and international travel
Skills and Knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent attention to detail
Confident working alone as well as part of a team
Previous administration experience
Previous Office Manager experience desirable but not essential
Tact and professionalism when handling confidential information and employee concerns
