What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team.
This is a Monday – Sunday role, covering a 24/7 working rota with the following shift patterns: 07:00-19:00 (Day Services), 19:00-07:00 (Night Services), 3-4 shifts per week.

Patient safety is at the heart of all our pharmacy services. At Cleveland Clinic London, we’ll be using automation, unique to the UK, digital infrastructure, secure storage systems, and bar-coded medicines administration to achieve a closed loop medicines administration system. Our Pharmacy services will enable patients to be fully involved in their own care and to make shared decisions about their treatment.
What will your duties include?
Maintain and develop high quality, consistent, patient-focused pharmacy services in conjunction with clinical and patient services staff.
Participate in the efficient day to day running of the dispensary and assisting the lead/senior technician/ Pharmacist when required.
Prepare labels using the pharmacy computer system and correctly assemble prescriptions, ensuring each item is accurately dispensed and in the correct packaging, according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
Organise the timely supply of out-of-stock medication to patients, prioritising and delegating this to other pharmacy team members when necessary.
Counsel patients on the use of their dispensed medications, offering advice and answering any queries.
What we need from you?
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
NVQ Level 3 (or recognised equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Services (or similar).
Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice.
Experience of working in a busy dispensary department.
Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
