An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic, motivated Staff Nurse/ODP to join our team as a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner.
We are looking to attract applicants to work in the National Treatment Centre Fife Orthopaedics based within the grounds of the Victoria Hospital consisting of 3 Theatres and a 7 bedded recovery area along with an Orthopaedic ward and associated outpatient services. This will create an exciting opportunity for staff development.
We are looking to recruit an experienced/ inexperienced theatre practitioner either RGN or ODP to join our team. It would be desirable to have experience in scrub and circulating roles, although this is not a necessity.
There is a robust induction programme which is supported by a dedicated Education team. We are passionate about investing and developing all our team members. We currently fund and support the Advanced Scrub practitioner programme.
You should possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to work well in the multidisciplinary team, and have evidence of continuing professional development. Theatres can be an intense fast paced environment with a team working ethos being at the heart of the service we provide. If you would like to join our busy friendly unit this may be the post for you.
Hours will be worked to meet the needs of the service which will include weekend work as required, with flexibility to work over all sites in Fife.
Informal enquiries to Nicola Spark Senior Charge Nurse extension 28428
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.
