Salary: £80 - £90 per day

Qualifications
1. Level 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment
2. A calm, patient and caring persona
3. Good communication skills
4. A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
5. Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
6. Effective behaviour management skills
7. Effective communication with members of internal staff
Job Responsibilities
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students, teachers, and therapists to develop personalized support plans for each student while implementing strategies to de-escalate challenging situations and promote a safe learning environment. You will assist teachers in developing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to each individual student's abilities, learning styles, and needs while frequently providing 1:1 and group learning support to students with additional needs. Working with students with SEMH, you will look after their physical, social, and mental welfare by creating a safe environment and adapting your teaching support according to the students' needs.
