As a Control Management Senior Associate in the Risk Management and Compliance team, you will perform ongoing analysis of the business’s risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses. You’ll ensure that controls are properly designed and implemented, partnering with compliance and operational risk officers, program managers, and other control managers to develop a consistent risk management approach. Job responsibilities Perform ongoing monitoring and assessment of compliance and operational risk. Design controls in partnership with business executives and evaluate their effectiveness. Manage end-to-end issue and action plan management, identifying root causes and developing solutions. Identify meaningful metrics to report on the health of the risk and control environment. Collaborate with functional support groups such as Audit, Technology, Finance, and Legal. Serve as a subject matter expert for relevant projects outside the Control Management organization. Escalate breaches/issues based on key reporting indicators and manage control committees and forums. Stay informed on European and UK regulations, including CRR (Capital Requirements Regulation), CRD IV (Capital Requirements Directive IV), IFR (Investment Firms Regulation), IFD (Investment Firms Directive), UK CRR (UK Capital Requirements Regulation), and IFPR (Investment Firms Prudential Regime), and ensure compliance with EBA (European Banking Authority) and PRA (Prudential Regulation Authority) guidelines. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelor’s degree. Significant experience in financial services, risk management, compliance, or legal. High degree of initiative and ability to work under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive-level communications. Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines. Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships. Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly. Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills AML/BSA expertise and/or certifications (e.g., CAMS, CAML, CAMCP, CFCS). Expertise in Capital Adequacy or Stress Testing (e.g., ICAAP). Technical skills in data analysis, quantitative modeling, and emerging technologies. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as COREP, ICARA, and Pillar 3 disclosures.
