Our inclusive and nurturing primary school in Burnley is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide one-to-one support for children with ASC, tailored to their individual needs.
* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies to promote learning and development.
* Foster a positive, structured, and supportive environment for the child.
* Support the child’s social, emotional, and academic progress both in the classroom and during activities.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure the child’s needs are met.
* Adapt resources and teaching approaches to help the child access the curriculum.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about supporting children with SEN and helping them achieve their full potential.
* Patient, understanding, and empathetic, with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Skilled in supporting children with ASC, understanding their unique challenges and strengths.
* A strong communicator, able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
* Proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to different situations.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with ASC or other special educational needs, ideally in a school setting.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
* Knowledge of autism-specific strategies and interventions (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, sensory integration techniques).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
