Are you passionate about outcomes for Children and their families?
We are looking for caring, passionate individuals to support separated families to positively co-parent and reduce parental conflict.
Role: Family Intervention Worker
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £12.69 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per week Fixed to April 2025
Closing date: 22.11.2024
About the Role: We are looking for experienced family support workers to join our team to deliver CAFCASS Improving Child and Family Arrangements (ICFA). ICFA helps families agree safe, beneficial and sustainable child arrangements. The role involves working alongside parents to improve outcomes for their individual family over a 12-week period.
Sessions can be arranged at suitable times for you and the families you are working with, allowing flexibility of days and times worked. The role often involves some weekend work.
The Family Intervention Worker role is key in:
* Reducing barriers and resistance to agreeing arrangements
* Promoting positive communication within families
* Ensuring children’s wishes and feelings are heard
To achieve the above, Family Intervention Workers will explore the current situation and work with parents and the children to agree a plan to break down any barriers, improve communication, observe family interactions during direct contact sessions and agree next steps, and support parents to prepare a parenting plan for after ICFA has been completed. The role does require written reports.
Full training and support are provided to the successful candidate. This is an ideal role for graduates with experience of working directly with children and families.
The successful applicant(s) will be appointed subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS check.
Due to the volume of applicants, we will get in touch only if selected for an interview.
This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any role involving working with children will be subject to an enhanced/barred DBS check and staff will be required to complete a safeguarding self-declaration.
Children’s Links recognises and actively promotes the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to treating all employees with dignity and respect, regardless of race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community.
