The Role
A leading design and build provider in the water sector is seeking an experiencedSenior Process Engineerto join its engineering team. Reporting to the Regional Discipline Lead – Process, you will deliver high-quality engineering design services for turnkey contracts. Your work will ensure that designs are cost-effective, safe, and sustainable, from initial concept through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop design layouts and prepare detailed design documents.
* Produce process flow diagrams, mass balances, and P&IDs.
* Ensure designs meet technical, safety, and cost standards.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
* Update and maintain departmental design procedures.
* Mentor and support junior engineers.
* Maintain project records and documentation.
* Ensure designs consider environmental and health & safety requirements.
Requirements
* Degree (or HND) in Chemical, Process, or related Engineering.
* Chartered or working towards accreditation (e.g., ICE, IMechE).
* Experience in designing water and sewage treatment projects.
* Proficiency in design software and strong computer literacy.
* Ability to produce economic plant layouts and technical proposals.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
