We are recruiting for our private hospital client who is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Director of Clinical Services/Matron/Team Lead/Clinical Lead to join an inpatient hospital team for adults with eating disorders in Buckinghamshire.
The hospital offers a specialist service in a warm and nurturing environment where patients receive intensive treatment for eating disorders, including severe and enduring anorexia nervosa. It is based in a beautiful setting with recently refurbished grounds and currently rates "Good" overall.
Reporting into the Hospital Director, the Clinical Lead forms part of the hospital Senior Management Team and is wholly responsible for the clinical services operations (nursing and therapy) within the hospital.
The post holder will ensure the highest level of patient care is provided to all patients.
Your role as the Director of Clinical Services will be to work closely to support the HD with the running of the Hospital. You will also oversee the highly valued nursing team, with the support of a full MDT team including a Ward Manager and Deputy Ward Manager. This role is equivalent to Matron/Team Lead/Clinical Lead within the NHS.
The job holder must currently hold a full clean driving licence and have been qualified as an NMC registered RMN for at least 3 years.
The Director of Clinical Services plays a key part in developing and delivering hospital strategy as well as providing operational and clinical leadership to the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators.
Providing leadership, organisation and co-ordination.
Responsible for the implementation of effective clinical interventions.
Managing the delivery of the clinical services business plan ensuring the effective and efficient management and control of staffing, budgets, materials and equipment.
Responsible for ensuring that Ward Managers are using the eRostering system effectively.
Accountable for ensuring timely completion and implementation of action plans in respect of regulatory and corporate requirements.
Reviewing staffing on a daily basis, ensuring compliance against the staffing ladders and reviews trends, under or overstaffing and puts in place actions to remedy.
Responsible for ensuring that sound recruitment processes and retention plans are in place to drive down turnover and raise engagement.
Linking with local universities and HEI s to build a pipeline of Nurses and Therapists into the hospital including, where appropriate, to carry out seminars / lectures and recruitment campaigns to raise the profile of the hospital.
Responsible for ensuring that all colleagues receive clinical supervision in accordance with professional guidelines.
Ensuring clinical services comply with statutory regulations and current legislation meets quality standards and deliver against key performance indicators. Ensuring site objectives are being met.
As part of the Senior Management team, carrying out on-call duties as directed by the Hospital Director.
Contributing to the development of Priory policies, procedures, processes and initiatives.
