Overview: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our network engineering department as an apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both network engineering and desktop support, assisting our help desk when required. You will work alongside a skilled team to ensure our clients' networks and systems operate smoothly while developing your technical skills. Responsibilities: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points). Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of VoIP telephony systems (on-premises and cloud-based). Provide desktop support to end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity. Assist with onsite installation of cables and accessories as part of network deployment. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted operation. Assist the help desk with resolving IT support tickets when necessary. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in a professional setting. Able to drive, location not duties: Please Note - Being able to drive is preferred but not essential as long as you are within an hour commute. Entry requirements: 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above) Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
