Due to continued growth, a rare opportunity to join the Camel Group Joinery department now exists. We are looking for an experienced Joiner to work with a dedicated team in the production of high-end, unique, bespoke entrance doors. The successful candidate must have the attributes outlined in the attached job description; any other relevant skills in addition to this will be advantageous.
We have a structured pay scale, and depending on ability, it will range between £13-14 per hour.
Camel Group is a long-standing family-run business that has been trading for the last 40 years and has built a reputation for quality and service.
You will be manufacturing a range of bespoke timber products with a strong focus on windows and doors in a machine-led factory. Much of your work will be based around manufacturing a premium door range as part of a team, working to a production schedule. On rare occasions, you may be needed to help with work on-site to rectify defects, help with installs, or survey for installations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manufacture bespoke timber products from scratch following drawings and specifications, with assisted guidance.
2. Able to assemble and glaze under supervision.
3. Understand and able to safely use all woodworking machinery including adjusting to suit.
4. Consistently accurate, high standard of finish to all timber products manufactured.
5. Achieve an output consistent with the group average without compromising on quality standards.
6. Carry out small repairs to timber products on-site.
7. Complete all company documentation in line with company procedures.
8. Promote the company in a positive manner at all times with a friendly, positive, customer-focused attitude.
9. Carry out surveys on-site taking dimensions and related information for manufacture and installation.
10. Able to fault-find and offer problem-solving solutions to complex issues on-site.
11. Able to train and improve others in their joinery skill sets and assist others in manufacturing.
12. Manufacture multiple jobs in one batch, each with different specifications.
13. Able to produce more complex joinery, e.g., curved work, stairs, box sash.
14. Able to assemble and glaze all joinery items including low voltage electrical installations on doors.
15. A detailed knowledge of the woodworking machines to enable their service and maintenance.
16. Paint spraying to an exceptionally high standard.
KEY SKILLS:
1. Basic reading and writing skills.

5. Excellent organizational skills and good timekeeping.
