Management Accountant – Investments

What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the team at Galliford Try within our Investments Business.
Ideally, you will based in or around the Edinburgh area.
1. Preparing management accounts and all P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, including analysing variances to budget
2. Managing purchase invoicing and payment runs
3. Raising and managing sales invoices including cross checking to contracts where applicable
4. Processing VAT and other statutory returns
5. Processing and reconciling all additional recharges and transactions
6. Maintaining reconciliations including bank reconciliations
7. Providing detailed support on audit queries, taking responsibility for routine items
8. Providing support on financial modelling
9. Monthly or quarterly management accounts
10. Monthly invoicing and payment
11. Monthly reconciliations
12. Annual budgets
13. Maintenance of high quality ledgers and underlying data to allow all information to be provided quickly and accurately
About You:
14. You should have the ability to work independently and autonomously but also know when to raise issues and seek support
15. You should be able to take responsibility for their own work and be proactive at all times
16. Attention to detail is critical
17. You should be able to deal with confidential information sensitively and appropriately
18. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required as this role will require interaction with Project Directors and other stakeholders
19. You should ideally be a part qualified accountant or a newly qualified accountant, or an accountant who is suitably qualified by experience
20. You should have prior experience of preparing management accounts within a finance function or department and have the ability to analyse financial results against budget
21. Proficiency in Excel is essential along with experience in using accounting software packages. Experience with Sage Line would be beneficial but not essential.
