About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analytics Senior Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing complex core banking data, uncovering valuable insights, and contributing to strategic decision-making within the organization. You will be responsible for end-to-end data analysis, from data extraction and cleaning to developing insightful reports and visualizations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of core banking systems, data warehousing principles, and data visualization best practices.
About the Team:
Core Accounts Data Platform (CDP) is part of Core Account team within Services group (TTS) and is responsible for building a scalable, high-performance data platform on Big Data technologies (Spark, Scala, Hive, Hadoop) along with Kafka/Java and AI technologies to support core account data needs across multiple lines of businesses. As a tenant on the Vanguard ecosystem, CDP ingests, enriches, and publishes data in both real-time and batch modes. The platform enables downstream consumption through standardized canonical data models (CDMs) and plays a critical role in regulatory reporting, reconciliation, and statement generation. We are a collaborative and fast-paced team focused on innovation, data quality, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform in-depth analysis of data attributes related to core banking systems, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
* Develop a deep understanding of core banking data models, including customer, account, transaction, and product data.
* Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various core banking systems.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data definitions, data lineage, and data quality rules.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into actionable insights.
* Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics, particularly in the core banking domain.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures.
* Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues, working with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
* Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new data analytics tools and technologies.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
* Experience in a data analytics role, with a strong focus on core banking data.
* Proven experience working with large and complex datasets, including data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and analysis.
* Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
* Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and principles.
* Experience with ER modeling and data modeling tools.
* Knowledge of core banking platforms such as FLEXCUBE, Finacle, or FIS is a significant plus.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This role will be based out of our London campus but will be considered as a hybrid role with up to 2 days a week working from home.
