Bennett Design Associates is seeking a talented and creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality graphics for various platforms, including presentations, marketing collateral, social media, and industry events. This role requires a versatile designer who can manage the company website, assist with photography shoots, and support the broader Bennett Design team with various graphic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Graphic Design and Development:
1. Create visually appealing graphics for presentations, marketing collateral, whitepapers, and industry events.
2. Develop new collateral materials that align with Bennett Design’s brand guidelines.
3. Assist with graphic content creation for social media platforms to enhance engagement and brand visibility.
2. Website Management:
1. Manage and update the company website, ensuring content is current, visually appealing, and user-friendly.
2. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Director of Communications and Partnerships to implement website improvements and new features.
3. Photography and Photo Management:
1. Assist with photography shoots, including attending shoots, setting up and cleaning props, and ensuring all necessary equipment is prepared.
2. Retouch and edit photos to maintain high-quality standards.
3. Manage the BDA photo library, ensuring all images are amassed, organized, and easily accessible.
4. Coordinate and manage internal photo contests to encourage team engagement and creativity.
4. Intranet and Internal Communications:
1. Assist in the management of content for the company intranet, ensuring it is up-to-date and engaging for employees.
2. Support internal communications with visually appealing graphics and materials.
5. Additional Support:
1. Provide graphic design support for various projects and initiatives as needed to support the broader Bennett Design team.
2. Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure cohesive and effective visual communication.
Required Knowledge & Qualifications:
1. Post-secondary education: A Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work.
3. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other graphic design software.
4. Experience with website management and content management systems (CMS).
5. Strong proficiency in photography skills is required, including experience with photo shoots and photo editing.
6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
