Pro rata salary: £19,223.24 - £25,060.56 per annum
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer to join our Education & Early Years department. This role involves teaching, assessing, and managing a caseload of students, ensuring the highest standards of education and student support.
As a Lecturer with DN Colleges, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and tutorials on a range of childcare programmes. You will contribute to course management and planning activities, ensuring that students receive an excellent learning experience. Your role will also involve working closely with the lead practitioner team to implement innovative teaching techniques and maintaining student morale and discipline.
What We're Looking For
* Relevant Education & Childcare qualification.
* Minimum grade C/4 GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent).
* Assessor/IQA qualification or willingness to work towards it.
* Experience working with children and young people in early years and education settings.
* Experience delivering NCFE/CACHE qualifications in Childcare & Education.
* Innovative and competent in utilising resources to create a stimulating learning environment.
* Effective in managing behaviour and motivating students.
What You'll Be Responsible For
* Acting as a Lecturer for a group of students, setting targets to raise standards in retention and achievement.
* Delivering high-quality teaching and tutorials, ensuring student progression towards successful completion.
* Implementing innovative and inclusive teaching techniques, promoting equality and diversity.
* Managing student morale and discipline, working closely with college managers and the team.
* Recording and reporting data and information accurately, including eILPs, registers, assessments, and student progress records.
* Maintaining teaching files to ensure quality assurance procedures are met.
* Keeping up to date with academic and vocational subjects and maintaining industry links.
* Attending parents' evenings and promotional activities, including occasional evening work.
* Collaborating with the Curriculum Leader and other teams, attending meetings and working groups.
