About your team SIPP Benefits - GPS Retirements Team is currently one of the fastest growing areas of the business. The Benefits team is responsible for processing the core element of SIPP administration including benefit calculations and payment as well as owning some of the more complex pension processes such as divorce cases, Transfers Out, QROPS, investment transactions and the day-to-day management of the SIPP. The role is key to providing uncompromising service to our IFAs and clients. About Your Role As a key member of the GPS Retirements Capability, you will assume ownership and leadership of the SIPP Benefits teams. This pivotal role involves adeptly communicating with teams in both the UK and India, fostering enhanced engagement within the team and with stakeholders across the business to spearhead the transformative vision for the Retirements landscape, supporting the Operational & Change leads. Additionally, the role will encompass overseeing the operational readiness to address the impact of strategic and regulatory changes. Key Responsibilities Oversight of the SIPP Benefits Teams (Including Payroll & Technical UK) and clearly articulate any deadlines, priorities & achievements for the day / week / month ahead Day-to-day management of the team and work allocation - Via Active Ops, worklists and escalations Overseeing and managing change initiatives within the team, gaining buy-in from key stakeholders and developing and managing practical strategies to achieve the best customer and operational outcome Developing in-depth knowledge of the Fidelity Pension / SIPP products and operational processes Provide process support to the team and escalating where necessary and in a timely manner. Review complaint, risk & corrections data - Taking proactive action on any trends and providing constructive feedback to team members or capability leadership Manage risk events and action plans via BWISE through to closure Call listening and scoring for our NIGO & CR Benefits resources, capturing and delivering feedback Review and ongoing oversight of our SIPP Incidents and supporting resolution of these working closely with the Testing Team and Technology Carry out and document 121’s, appraisal reviews and any performance challenges effectively in line with HR standards Ensure appropriate recruitment, training and development of the team members to cover all tasks across the teams Act as a role model to deliver strong results in the right way, build, develop and lead empowered and diverse teams; and motivate others with a vision for the future that can be implemented. Responsible for overall quality within the UK team, ensuring close collaboration with the India Team and AM to support good quality across all processes. Manage and develop the teams with focus on individuals` career development and team succession with motivated employees Any other additional adhoc MI tasks, commentary, submissions or business updates as and when they arise Oversight and careful management of testing and change - Ensure prompt action is being taken and timely responses to any pending requests - adhering to testing / change deadlines Escalation of platform issues and engaging key stakeholders when appropriate across the business Stakeholder management with FAS, Projects, Transfers & Retirements Capability, Technology etc Oversight of dynamic working across UK and India team and any exception approval requests UK Resource management, recruitment and capacity planning (AL, Sickness, MAT cover etc) Signatory in the Kingswood UK office- Wet Signatures required for SIPP Transfers and QROPS Owner of the SIPP Drawdown Business and Functional System Roles and approvals Overtime planning, Approval & K2 Admin Sign Off Online HMRC FASL Admin Owner (Maintenance of bussiness records and Account Admin) High Value Money Out Payment Approval - Grade 6 Level Business Contingency planning in Clearview and amendments in line with the capability (Adhoc BCP Run Book Requests) High Value Money Out Prefunding Approval - Grade 6 Level SIPP Payment Cancellation & Reversal Request Approval RCSA Assessment and Maintenance for the SIPP Retirements Team About you Proven SIPP/DC/DB administration experience Knowledge of HMRC rules which govern pension transfers and benefit payments will be preferred FA2 & CF1 Essential (Or working towards financial exams) Ability to multiple tasks against tight deadlines Re-prioritise and organise own workload effectively as well as the teams at short notice Day-to-day team resource management Accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of service delivery, documentation and reporting Continue to embed Empowering Colleagues, Inspiring Leaders and other OpEx Initiatives Numerate and computer literate (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Experienced people manager Decision-maker – effective problem solving and solution orientated.
