Volunteering Opportunities with Chester Civic Trust
The Volunteer Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the Charity. This role is crucial to ensuring transparency and accountability in our financial management. The position offers flexibility in terms of hours and can be largely performed remotely, with occasional meetings as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recording financial transactions, including income and expenses, using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar - please specify if you have a preferred software).
2. Maintaining organized records of all financial documents.
3. Assisting the Treasurer with the preparation of annual budgets.
4. Working with the Treasurer/Chairperson to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
The position offers flexibility in terms of hours and can be largely performed remotely, with occasional meetings as needed. Potentially these positions can be combined.
