About the role
Are you a dedicated and detail-oriented individual looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity? Join the SBcare team as a Part-Time Maintenance Officer (Cleaner) and play a vital role in maintaining clean and inviting spaces.
Based in Kingaroy, as part of the Operational Support Team, this role will ensure a high standard of cleanliness and presentation of all SBcare buildings and workplaces.
Your tasks will include:
1. Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing assigned areas.
2. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
3. Clean outdoor paths, carpark, grounds, eating areas, walls, windows, and doors using brooms, blower, hose, or gurney.
4. Clean glass windows, doors, and partitions ensuring they are free of marks or fingerprints.
5. Wash, hang out, fold, and put away laundry using a washing machine and dryer.
6. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and surfaces.
7. Wipe down and disinfect common touchpoints such as doorknobs and light switches.
8. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking when needed.
9. Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
10. Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
11. Travel between facilities and buildings will be a requirement of this position.
12. Collaborate with the team to uphold a clean and organized environment.
13. Undertake COVID cleans as requested.

Skills and experience
1. Previous cleaning experience will be advantageous.
2. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
3. Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills.
4. Ability to follow instructions and work within established guidelines.
5. Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
6. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
7. Able to work morning and/or evening shifts.
Requirements:
1. Positive National Police Check
2. Open Driver’s Licence (current)
3. Current Vehicle Registration and Compulsory Third-Party Insurance
4. NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow)
5. Positive Working with Children (Blue) Card
6. COVID-19 Immunizations (minimum of two)
7. Complete Pre-employment Health Declaration outlining any pre-existing conditions (as detailed in section 571 of the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003).
