This is a fantastic opportunity to dive straight into our Compliance and Conduct framework using data analytics In this interesting role within the Compliance Monitoring team, you’ll use your SQL, data analysis and automation skills to deliver a data-led strategy that identifies insights based on the highest regulatory and conduct risks to the bank. You’ll use your data visualisation skills and experience with management information (MI) to design and provide insights from large data sets that identify risk and control themes, potential customer harms and associated root causes. The difference you’ll make: Driving the Data Analysis and Management Information requirements for Compliance Monitoring Designing and introducing strategies to extract and analyse large volumes of data from the bank’s data lake and platforms Overseeing the development of analytics tools and frameworks in line with the bank’s established architecture to ensure strategic alignment in terms of data usage Managing the flow of data requests into and out of Compliance Monitoring using a controlled and structured approach Shaping data-led sampling and insights based on the highest regulatory and conduct risks to the bank Mentoring and developing colleagues’ skills to enhance their data analytics capabilities and use of digital tools What you’ll bring: These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role: Previous experience in a similar role in a Compliance or Risk function within a Banking environment Extensive SQL Server and data modelling experience, both Dimensional and OLTP Experience with Impala – creating queries with efficient execution plans Experience writing complex SQL queries and using with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI and SSRS It would also be nice for you to have: Data warehousing experience, ideally Kimball Proven experience of configuring server environments Experience with DBA and Hadoop MS Analysis Services - Either Tabular or Multi-dimensional What else you need to know: This permanent role can be based in Milton Keynes and Glasgow. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
